Why this is needed
Away from home, Orthodox Christians are often a small minority. Many want to meet someone from the same country and culture — or from another one, but of the same faith. In practice, that circle is extremely narrow.
There are too many examples of a relationship between an Orthodox person and someone of another denomination, another religion or none — relationships that fall apart when the question of a church wedding and raising children arrives.
Existing platforms mix people of different nationalities, customs, cultures and faiths. They do not help you look for a spouse in keeping with the Orthodox understanding of marriage — they make one of life's most important decisions harder.
Parishes are small, the circle of acquaintances is limited, and the chance of meeting the right person naturally is rare.
Built around intention, not entertainment
Everything in NAOS serves one goal — that you meet the right person in the spirit of Orthodoxy, not as many people as possible.
You get the chance to meet one person at a time. Not hundreds of profiles, not a competition for attention. Time to think and decide deliberately.
When two people say they want to meet, they talk only to each other. No parallel messages, no divided attention.
Age, the place you're searching around, distance — and which countries. You define the frame, we search inside it.
A profile cannot be created without declaring: I want a church wedding, I want children, I am baptised or preparing for baptism, I am not married — neither in church nor civilly. Everyone on the platform starts from the same point.
Simply by being here, you already share the most important thing with everyone on the platform — the same faith and the same intention to start a family. We take care of the rest: education, height, and how recently someone has been here. Everything else cannot be calculated. We leave that to you.
A protected place
We take the security of your data and your information with the utmost seriousness.
Your profile cannot be found by just anyone — it is seen only by the people you are introduced to, and only then.
Profiles and conversations cannot be captured — not by screenshot, not by screen recording. A photo you send stays in the conversation, and you choose whether the other person may save it to their phone; by default they may not. Misuse leads to permanent removal of the account.
The verified mark is not given for filling in a form. It is earned with a live selfie taken inside the app and compared with the profile photos. Our goal is for every profile on NAOS to be verified.
We do not sell or share your data with anyone. No advertisers, no trading in your attention. Every report of inappropriate behaviour is handled without delay.
Four steps
You confirm the intention: marriage, children, baptism — and that you are not married. This is a condition, not an option.
When registering you confirm that you want a wedding in church, that you want children, that you are baptised or preparing for baptism, and that you are currently not married — neither in church nor civilly. Without a yes to these, a profile cannot be created.
Your gender, first name, photos, date of birth, place, occupation and education, a few words about yourself, your interests, how you spend your free time.
Then a live selfie for verification, and a few details about how you live — chosen in a couple of taps and shown as short labels, so you don't have to discuss the same things again every time.
Age, place, distance and countries — the frame within which you want to be introduced to people.
You also choose where you are searching: within a radius of your own or a chosen place, across the whole country, or in several countries at once. The circle widens and narrows in one move, whenever you like — and the place you search in does not have to be the place you live in.
There is always one person in front of you. If the interest is mutual, a conversation opens. If it isn't — the next introduction arrives.
Introductions are always free. A subscription is needed only to write in a conversation.

Deliberately left out
The success of NAOS is not measured by the time you spend in the app, but by how quickly you leave it — with the right person.
Everyone pays the same and gets the same
There is no free tier and no advanced tier. No add-ons sold separately, no limits removed by paying. There is only one way into NAOS — you only choose for how long.
Registration, your profile, verification and introductions cost nothing — always, not for a trial period. A subscription opens one thing only: writing in a conversation. It starts running from the first conversation that actually begins, not from the day you pay.
Prices apply in Serbia and are shown with VAT included. Outside Serbia the price is charged in the local currency and is set for each country separately. Billing goes through your App Store or Google Play account, and you cancel it there — in two taps, without writing to us.
Not a discount for the first month. The price is locked to the account and does not rise later. Those who come at the beginning carry the most risk, because at the start there are the fewest people — so they should pay the least.
Take a founding spotThe naos is the central, quietest part of the church — the place you walk towards with intention, and the space where two people are married. That is where we want to take you.
What people ask most
Work on the platform is already under way. We expect to enter the final stages in October 2026, with the launch at the end of 2026 or the beginning of 2027.
Everyone on the waiting list receives news about how the work is progressing, and the exact launch date as soon as it is known.
Introductions are free — always, not for a trial period. Creating an account, your profile, verification, seeing the whole of someone else's profile and deciding cost nothing at all.
A subscription opens one thing only: writing in a conversation. And it starts running from the first conversation that actually begins, not from the day you pay — so waiting costs you nothing.
Two reasons, and we will not pretend there is a third. The first is protection: fake profiles and people who are not serious are stopped most effectively by a card that has to be charged. The second is that NAOS costs money to run, and we would rather it be paid by the people who use it than by advertisers who would then own your attention.
Three steps. The declaration at registration — church wedding, children, baptism, and that you are not married; without a yes there is no profile. Then verification by a live selfie, which confirms that the person is who the photos show. And then you, through conversation, where intention and belonging are confirmed more reliably than by any piece of paper. NAOS sets the frame; the trust you build yourselves.

NAOS does not count on one town, but on a whole country — and on several countries.
Perhaps the right person for Nikola from Novi Sad is Jovana from Čačak. For someone in Belgrade it is someone in Banja Luka, for someone in Kladovo it is just across the Danube, and for someone in Canada — in Serbia.
You choose the place and the circle: a distance in kilometres from your own or a chosen place, a whole country, or several countries at once — Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Russia. If there is no one suitable in the narrow circle, it widens in one move — and comes back whenever you want.
An account can be created anywhere in the world, and the place you search in does not have to be the place you live in.
Both, from the first day. Most people here carry Android, and most of the diaspora carries an iPhone — and NAOS is being built for both at once, not for one first and the other later.
Yes, and this matters to us more than any advertising. If you are a priest, or you run a brotherhood, a choir or a youth group, write to us at info@joinnaos.com. We would rather NAOS reach people through those who already know them.
A small team from Serbia, not a company without an address
NAOS is made by a small team from Serbia — from Kragujevac. People from the same community we are speaking to.
We started because we noticed that in our time, under the influence of everything around us, people often look for the wrong values and the wrong qualities when choosing a husband or a wife. A great many Orthodox Christians — at home and abroad — do not want to compromise on faith. The circle is small, and abroad there is often no circle at all. We have watched many relationships fail to end in marriage for exactly that reason, and what is left behind is lost time, and attention and energy spent in the wrong direction.
Marriage is a pillar of any society. Without healthy families there is no healthy nation. That is why we made NAOS — a place that, in the spirit of Orthodoxy and following the teachings of spiritual fathers, priests and the Holy Fathers, helps people to meet, to marry, to start families and to contribute to the birth rate.

NAOS is a matchmaking platform for Orthodox Christians, currently in development. This page currently serves only to join the waiting list and receive progress updates. The app does not yet exist and is not available for use.
By using this site you accept the terms set out here. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.
Sign-up is intended for adults. By submitting your details, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old.
Joining the waiting list does not create a contractual relationship and does not entitle you to access the future app. It means we will notify you about progress and the platform's launch, and that, within the limits of point 5, we hold your place at the founding price.
You can withdraw your sign-up at any time, by writing to info@joinnaos.com.
The information you provide should be accurate. We reserve the right to remove sign-ups that are clearly false, abusive, or submitted automatically.
Creating an account, building a profile, verification, introductions and your decisions are free, with no time limit. A subscription is required only to write in a conversation, and it begins on the day the first conversation actually starts — not on the day of purchase.
Planned prices in Serbia, VAT included:
Founding offer: the first 400 people on the waiting list who activate a subscription pay 590 RSD a month, and that price is locked to their account for as long as the subscription remains continuous. Order is determined by when you joined the waiting list. The offer is not transferable to other people and ends if the account is deleted.
Outside Serbia, billing is in the local currency, at a price set separately for each country. Billing runs through your App Store or Google Play account and is cancelled there. Final prices and terms will be published before launch and will form a separate document that you will accept separately. Until then, everything said about how the app will function is a statement of intent, not a binding promise.
Once the app is launched, it will not permit impersonation, harassment of other users, sharing other people's information or photos, commercial advertising, or content that offends faith, dignity, or the law. Violations result in account removal without a refund.
The name NAOS, the text, design, and graphic elements on this site are our property. They may not be copied or used without written consent.
The site is used as-is. We try to keep it available and accurate, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation or the absence of errors. We are not liable for damage arising from the site's unavailability or from relying on information on it.
NAOS facilitates introductions, but does not guarantee that you will meet a suitable person, nor is it liable for the conduct of other users outside the platform.
We may change these terms as the project progresses. Changes take effect from the day they are published on this page, and the date of the last update always appears at the top.
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Serbia. We aim to resolve disputes by agreement; failing that, the competent court in the Republic of Serbia has jurisdiction.
When you enter your phone number in the NAOS app, we send you a single message containing a one-time verification code — at the moment you request it, and only to the number you entered yourself. We send no marketing, no notifications and no recurring messages of any kind.
Message and data rates may apply, according to your carrier. You may reply STOP to opt out of these messages, or HELP for help. For any question, write to info@joinnaos.com.
You can delete your account in the app yourself, at any time and without writing to us: Settings → Privacy → Delete account. What is erased then, and what is kept by law and for how long, is set out on the Account deletion page.

How we handle your information

This explains what information we collect, why, how long we keep it, and what you can ask of us. No legal fog.
The data controller is NAOS TECH DOO, a company registered in the Republic of Serbia, company number 22333577, tax ID 115964466. Contact: info@joinnaos.com.
Only what you enter yourself in the waiting list form:
We do not collect your exact date of birth, address, phone number, or religious affiliation through this form.
A telephone number is asked for only by the app itself, once it launches, and only so that we can send you a one-time verification code at the moment you request it. The message is delivered by Infobip d.o.o. as our processor. Message and data rates may apply. You may reply STOP to stop receiving them, or HELP for help.
To notify you when NAOS launches and occasionally about progress, to determine the order for the founding price, and to see in which countries and cities there is enough interest for the platform to make sense. We do not use it for anything else.
Your consent, given by checking the box when signing up. You can withdraw consent at any time, without explanation and without consequences.
In a Google spreadsheet, on the Google Sheets service run by Google Ireland Limited, which in this case acts as a processor. The site is hosted on a service that processes technical access data. Data may be transferred outside the European Economic Area, using standard contractual clauses as a safeguard.
We do not sell, rent, or hand over your information to third parties for marketing purposes. There are no advertisers. We disclose information only if required by a competent authority in accordance with the law.
Until the platform launches, and for a maximum of twenty-four months from sign-up. If the project has not launched within that time, the data is deleted. If you withdraw consent earlier, we delete it immediately.
This site does not use cookies and does not build a profile of you. We measure visits using Plausible Analytics, which does not set cookies, does not store IP addresses, and does not track individual visitors over time or across other sites; the data is processed on servers within the European Union. From this measurement we only see how many people visited, from which page, and from which country — never who.
The font loads from the Fontshare service, to which your IP address is passed when the page loads — this is technically necessary for the site to display.
At any time you have the right to request access to your information, its correction or deletion, restriction of processing, transfer of data to another controller, and to object or withdraw consent.
A message to info@joinnaos.com is enough. We respond within thirty days, usually much sooner.
If you believe your rights have been violated, you can contact the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection, Bulevar kralja Aleksandra 15, 11120 Belgrade, Serbia.
The platform and waiting list are not intended for anyone under 18. If we determine that a sign-up was made by a minor, we delete it.
Only people working on the project have access to the data, through accounts protected by a password and two-step verification. If unauthorized access occurs that could jeopardize your rights, we will notify you and the relevant authority within the legal deadline.
We may update this policy once the platform launches, since there will be more types of data then. We will notify you of any significant change at the email address you provided.
How to reach us

If you want us to remove your information
Write to us from the same address you used to sign up and we'll delete it, no questions asked. We'll send confirmation the same way.
NAOS has not launched yet. We are currently collecting sign-ups from interested people and working on preparing the app. Everything written today about how it will work is a description of intent, not a finished service.
